The hotel was charming! I really enjoyed staying in this quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to the malecón and various restaurants and coffee shops. Diana, who worked at the front desk, was very nice and helped us with everything throughout our stay. Water pressure and temp in the bathroom was great. We didn't have any issues.
Great location and fantastic prices! The hotel is being renovated so it's noisy during the day but that did not bother me. Very few of the staff speak any English so please be aware and courteous.
Great little spot in La Paz. Very friendly and easy to check in. Rooms are very nice and it’s easy to get to restaurants and bars. Definitely recommend
Delicious food at restaurant, kind and honest servers. I forgot my wallet at the restaurant, waiter dropped it @ Reception desk. Spacious rooms, affordable, excellent location. Very familiar.
The "Bug" is an old school "fancy" Mexican hotel but still quite comfortable. Staff is very helpful, rooms are clean, water is hot, location is within walking distance of the Malecon and the main Plaza in old town La Paz. There is an outdoor pool. The parking area is enclosed and private, though I don't believe that it is locked at night. I have stayed here 3-4 times over the last 15 years and have not really seen a decline in the quality of the hotel. This will probably continue to be my place to stay when I am in La Paz.

We’ve stayed here twice and it was an excellent hotel especially for the price. Cute design. Secure parking. Close to the malecon in a cute neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool in the courtyard. The rooms were spacious with nice big modern bathrooms. The shower water didn’t get as hot as I’d like, beware, but that’s relatively low priority for me. Also, the restaurant didn’t open until 8am so we had to go elsewhere for coffee (there are several good places nearby).
Convenient location, near the malecon, 3-4 blocks away. Very quiet location with safe parking. The rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and courteous and helpful.
